what is talent management?

Talent Management is about having a trusted advisor with you in a career sense to work through what you want and why.

 

We work together to secure a career move that gives you more of what you want and less of what you don't. It’s a personal representation of you, discreetly introducing opportunities that suit your experience, skills, needs and aspirations.

 

My expertise and industry connections give me a unique ability to scope out potential opportunities, many of which aren’t “on the market” with agents. Any introduction I make will be in a Talent Management capacity, and the tone of the conversations will reflect this, i.e. you are treated like a headhunted candidate and not a typical applicant.

 

My approach is bespoke, personally supporting you throughout the process. This includes preparing for meetings and ensuring you put your best foot forward with credibility, impact and authenticity. I’ll assist in anticipating challenges and working through them.

why me?

As an expert in my field, I have 20 of experience working with Tax Directors and Tax Partners. I have an enviable understanding of the Tax profession, the people and the firms, and their histories, strategies, ambitions and cultures.

 

I’ve worked with and supported many leaders, assisting them to reach where they are today. Through lived-in experience, I’ve gained a deep insight into those at the top: their careers, challenges, and ambitions.

 

Across two decades:

  • I’ve seen the Big 6 become the Big 4.

  • I’ve witnessed the world of Tax planning and Tax avoidance evolve by merging Inland Revenue and Customs to become HMRC.

  • I’ve seen the introduction of BEPS and technological advancements in Global Compliance and Reporting.

  • I’ve worked through the rise and fall of listed advisory firms Tenon and Vantis, and the quality of the Mid-Tier and boutiques changing significantly.

 

My career achievements:

  • Placed numerous Tax Partners across the Big 4, Top 10 and boutiques across the UK and built National Indirect Tax teams from the top down.

  • Many of the Senior Managers and Directors I have placed are now Lead Partners in their own right.

  • Helped create VAT service streams in the Big 4 in Eastern Europe (2003) and the GCC (2018).
